The San Bartolomé City Council will begin next Thursday, January 19, the resurfacing works on Avenida Mamerto Cabrera, in Playa Honda. The improvement of the pavement corresponds to the service road that goes from the "Velamen" roundabout to the entrance of the César Manrique Airport.
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, insists that "the work will be carried out in phases, which will involve a redistribution of traffic in the area." "This action is intended to cause the least impact to the residents of the municipality during the execution of the work," says Pérez.
Likewise, the mayor hopes that these works will "generate the least possible inconvenience to citizens and businesses in the area and thanks them for their collaboration during the months of work."
"This action responds to the urgency due to the poor condition of the pavement and is part of the project with an amount of 2 million euros that aims to condition the roads in this key space for the economy of the municipality," they point out from the Consistory.
"This work is essential to guarantee the safety and fluidity of traffic, as well as the connectivity within the commercial area that functions as the lung of the economy and industry of Lanzarote," says the mayor.
