The mayor of Arrecife and candidate for re-election by the Popular Party, Cándido Reguera, considers it essential to continue increasing actions in youth matters, "because young people are a key piece to build the future of Arrecife, as a modern and inclusive city."
During the neighborhood meeting he held in the Titerroy neighborhood, in which Ástrid Pérez, candidate for Parliament and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, also participated, Reguera stressed that "young people are the future and we must count on them. My wish is that young people commit to Arrecife, that they are and feel, really, protagonists of their city." In this sense, the popular candidate explained that he will continue to develop policies on youth matters, "launching numerous campaigns to revitalize the neighborhoods of the municipality with recreational, environmental, cultural and educational activities."
Cándido Reguera highlighted the four areas in which the Popular Party will focus policies on youth matters, such as employment, training, housing and leisure. Thus, for the populars it is essential to carry out campaigns and strategic actions that develop the youth associative fabric, in addition to promoting training programs that favor the labor insertion of young people, also involving the business sector and all administrations.
Without education there is no future
Likewise, Ástrid Pérez, emphasized that "the economic and social development of any society is closely linked to education, training and knowledge." In this sense, the candidate for Parliament and the Cabildo reiterated the commitment of the PP to the University Campus. "We will continue working to ensure that this important educational infrastructure is a reality on our island and that it becomes the engine of academic training and research, because without education there is no future."
