Nueva Canarias has denounced that the Tías City Council ordered its workers last week to "renew the deteriorated fencing" of the Canal Gestión works on the Las Claras road. The formation assures that these works took place one day after NC denounced that some of Canal's works are "paralyzed" by complaints from the owners of the affected land and that in others already completed the company has not left the area in "similar conditions to those in which they found it". For the party, "who should" renew those fences is Canal Gestión, "as part of the work assumed by this company."
Nueva Canarias emphasizes that it denounced last Thursday, June 2, that "Canal Gestión was invading private properties without the permission of their owners, and we even doubt whether with the authorization or license of the City Council, to carry out the works of renovation of pipes of the island water network", something that had already been denounced on another occasion, in other works in the municipality.
In addition to pointing out that some of them are "paralyzed", in those already completed NC assures that Canal "has not tried to make the least possible damage or alleviate the damage that had to be done on the occasion of the works, they have left unprotected potholes, iron rods stuck in the ground twisted, remains of meshes thrown away, etc.". This, according to him, would be the case of the Las Claras road.

The party emphasizes that "any neighbor or company that requests a building permit, one of the requirements that is required is that the area must be in the same condition as it was before the start of the works and, even, in some administrations a deposit is requested to the one who is going to do the work if it affects roads or public areas, in order to guarantee that everything is in good condition."

"From Nueva Canarias we are surprised that the local government works on the basis of complaints in the media or on social networks and does not worry about the situation of its municipality by visiting the streets and supervising that the works it contracts and the services that are provided are well done. And on the other hand, we do not understand why it has to be the City Council of Tías, with the taxes paid by the neighbors of the municipality, which has to finish and / or correct the deficient work done by a private company, as in this case is Canal Gestión, and this company is not required to comply with its obligations as any other company or individual", they conclude.
