The Cabildo of Lanzarote has published the provisional list of grants for energy transition projects corresponding to the 2021-22 academic year, with a budget of 250,000 euros.

In this way, the island institution will grant 60,000 euros for the production of domestic hot water and the improvement of the thermal envelope in buildings and 190,000 euros in aid for the installation of self-consumption photovoltaic panels, through the "Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies and Promotion of the Electric Vehicle" program of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, explained that these subsidies "seek to promote the energy transition on the Island, promoting projects in order to contribute to energy efficiency, reduce CO2 emissions and other pollutants and achieve greater energy autonomy, reducing the extreme dependence on hydrocarbons and promoting savings".

Likewise, the Minister of Energy, Ariagona González, has detailed that nearly 40 projects will initially receive aid for domestic hot water and improvement of the thermal envelope, the maximum amount of which will be 3,000 euros per applicant, while 68 projects will predictably receive the amount for self-consumption panels.

People provisionally on the list have 10 business days to submit the acceptance, with a maximum period that will last until August 10. To accept the subsidies, you can access the necessary annex through the website of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
