Matilde Asián: "Lanzarote is facing exciting years of economic growth"

The vice president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina, received this Wednesday the first institutional visit of the Minister of Finance and Relations with the European Union of the Government of the Canary Islands, Matilde Asián. 

During her visit, Asián assured that Lanzarote “is facing exciting years of economic growth”. “I notice that there is enthusiasm and a desire to invest and improve or transform Lanzarote and La Graciosa.”

Medina, accompanied by the island's Minister of Finance, María Jesús Tovar, held a meeting with the economic head in which various issues were discussed, such as the status of the FDCAN funds, municipal financing or the amounts from European funds such as the ERDF and the Next Generation

“I am very grateful to the Minister of the Government of the Canary Islands for wanting to visit this institution to discuss, in a relaxed meeting, the most important economic aspects that affect the daily lives of the residents of Lanzarote”, said the vice president, Jacobo Medina, 

In addition, Medina confirmed the predisposition on the part of the regional Executive “to allocate budget items to necessary works for the island such as the High Requirement Residence of Tahíche or the transformation of the island's roads” .

For her part, the island's Minister of Finance, María Jesús Tovar, positively valued the visit of the Minister, and considered that this fact “is an example of the importance that this Executive gives to Lanzarote and its economic well-being”.
