The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, and the Councilor of the Youth Area Andoni Machín congratulate the young member of Prensa Juvenil Canaria Marcial Parrilla for his incorporation as part of the management team of European Youth Press (EYP), a network of youth media organizations in Europe.
Olivia Duque values the effort and dedication of this young man for his current achievement. "Marcial Parrilla is an example of how our young people can achieve important goals at an international level. From Teguise, we will continue to support initiatives that promote the talent and aspirations of our youth," emphasizes the first mayor.
Councilor Andoni Machín highlights that his commitment is an inspiration for the youth population of the municipality. "His success reflects the great work done by Prensa Juvenil Canaria and the importance of having platforms that amplify the voices of the new generations," he points out.
European Youth Press works to build a society where journalists and content creators can actively participate in the public sphere through fair, independent and responsible media. Its objective is to promote democracy, international development and a sustainable future, connecting more than 60,000 young journalists from all over Europe.
The Teguise City Council assures that "it reaffirms its commitment to the development of young people, supporting local and global projects that promote the personal and professional growth of its citizens".
