The Lanzarote deputy of the nationalist group CC-PNC Jesús Machín Tavío has registered a question addressed to the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, whose head is Mª José Guerra, with the aim of knowing the reasons why the students of the Aesthetics and Beauty Module of the Integrated Center for Vocational Training (CIFP) Zonzamas, continue without teachers.

"The concern has been transferred to the nationalist parliamentarian by several second-cycle students who see how this situation may harm the results and quality of their training because they fear that, if this situation is not resolved immediately, they will finish the cycle without having been able to receive all of the subject matter," they point out from CC.

"We cannot expect, on the one hand, that our young people are prepared and trained to face the already difficult labor market, and on the other hand, not provide them with the tools to achieve their expectations", Machín stressed.

Jesús Machín also states that the Aesthetics and Beauty studies at Zonzamas are not the only ones lacking teachers. "There are other modalities in the center that are also being affected by the lack of teachers and with what we have already been through this course this is starting to be worrying," he highlights.

Likewise, the nationalist parliamentarian assures that the situation is repeated in several Secondary schools on the island and points out that in the IES Las Salinas, to give an example, the First Year Baccalaureate students still do not have a Philosophy teacher, a month after the course has started.

"We are talking about the future of our young people and the educational level of our centers. We cannot provide a quality education if we are missing the main piece; the teaching staff", asserts the Canarian deputy.
