The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands launches this Tuesday, October 28, from 8:00 a.m., the new Emergency Service of the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital of Lanzarote (old General Hospital), which expands the current capacity of the hospital service.
Access to these new hospital facilities will be through the side facade of the building, where the entrance door to the new Emergency Room of the Center is located.
The new Emergency Service has two patient classification consultations, five general consultations, a box for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with two positions, twelve first aid positions and an aerosol therapy room with five positions, 37 observation positions, a treatment room and a plaster room.
The expansion and renovation process of the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital of Lanzarote has been designed and executed in three phases. Currently all the planned works of Phase I and II have been completed and work is being done on the completion of Phase III of the Hospital Expansion and Improvement Plan, which will have a total cost of 20,146,480 euros.
