The Management of Sanitary Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, affirms that it has not reduced the staff of the Emergency service of the Valterra Health Center. In this way, it wanted to respond to the complaint made by the CSIF in which they criticized the elimination of one of the center's medical teams. From Sanidad they explain that "the Emergency service of the health center, which has an operating schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., has two teams made up of a doctor and a nurse from Monday to Friday and a third reinforcement for weekends and holidays that has not been modified at any time."
The Management adds that the health center also has a reinforcement consultation from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - outside the hours of the Emergency service - which has been reorganized so that one of the teams that usually worked in that consultation will provide its service in the usual consultations of the health center itself without this meaning that the staff of the same is reduced. "In any case," -they point out- "it is an optimization and reorganization of resources to improve the assistance provided to patients, which also does not affect the Emergency service."
Health assures that the staff of the Valterra health center has not been reduced
"It has two teams, each composed of a doctor and a nurse, who on weekends receive support from another reinforcement team that serves the reference population," they point out
