The San Bartolomé City Council has launched a new website aimed at facilitating responsible adoption and improving animal management in the municipality, bringing to the citizens all the information and services of the Animal Protection Center.
This new digital space, available at https://cpasanbartolome.com/, allows to learn about animals for adoption, access information about lost and found pets, as well as to consult the procedures and requirements necessary to start an adoption process.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has highlighted that “with this tool we take another step in our commitment to animal welfare, facilitating citizens' access to adoption and promoting greater awareness about responsible pet ownership.” In this regard, he added that “it is not only about finding a home for animals, but about building a more committed, supportive, and respectful community.”
For his part, the Councillor for Animal Welfare, Fernando Vadillo, pointed out that “this website is born with the objective of making all the work carried out from the Animal Protection Center more accessible and transparent, valuing the joint work between municipal management, the professional team and volunteering”. Furthermore, he underlined that “the role of volunteer people is fundamental, as they contribute to the emotional well-being of the animals through walks and socialization, thus favoring their possibilities of adoption”.
The San Bartolomé Animal Protection Center is a mixed management space, promoted by the City Council in coordination with private management, where comprehensive animal care is guaranteed. Among the services provided are feeding, daily cleaning, veterinary follow-up, sterilization, as well as the management of procedures and adoption processes.
Likewise, the center offers a support service to citizens in cases of lost or found animals, actively working to reunite pets with their families and offering accompaniment throughout the entire process.
With this initiative, the San Bartolomé City Council reinforces its commitment to animal welfare, promoting responsible adoption and facilitating tools that connect animals with new homes, while strengthening social involvement in their care and protection.
