The Haría Town Council, through the Department of Education coordinated by Famara González, will launch the home delivery of books that students left in classrooms, "in order to avoid any kind of academic gap that could arise from this exceptional situation we are experiencing."
"From the Municipal Corporation we are aware of the difficulties that some families have in accessing the online resources of their schools, so we propose this measure so that all students can continue with their education despite the state of alarm," says the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba.
This initiative is aimed at students of CEIP San Juan de Haría, CEIP de Arrieta and IES Haría. In the case of primary school students, the schools will contact families to find out who needs this service and provide the Council with their data in order to make the delivery.
On the other hand, parents with children in IES Haría must contact the tutors of the different classes through the e-mails that have been provided to them or through the virtual classroom of the institute.
"We hope that this decision will facilitate the continuity of teaching activity for the duration of the state of alarm and that primary school students can resume their classes, as far as possible," comments the Councillor for Education, Famara González.
