The Haría City Council, through the Department of the Environment, has actively participated in the coastal cleanup day organized by the DinoSol Foundation, in collaboration with Terramare Medioambiente, Lanzarote Limpia and Limpiaventura, on the occasion of World Cleanup Day. This activity took place last Saturday, September 21, on the beach of Caletón del Mero, in Órzola.

Under the motto For coasts free of marine litter, the day called on citizens to join this cause. The participation of neighbors and visitors underlines the importance of the conservation of the natural environment and the protection of the oceans.

The mayor Alfredo Villalba points out that "this activity is part of the Haría City Council's commitment to the preservation of Lanzarote's natural heritage." He also emphasizes that "this was a day of community commitment, where citizens joined together for the conservation of the environment."

For his part, the Councilor for the Environment, Marcos Lemes, emphasizes that "it is essential to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our coasts clean. Every little effort counts and, together, we can make a difference in the health of our marine ecosystems."

The participants not only collected garbage and waste from the beach, but also enjoyed a day of companionship and learning about the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment.

Likewise, the City Council thanks all the people and collaborating organizations for their effort and dedication, and reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting actions that promote a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
