The founder of the Party of Independents of Lanzarote (PIL), Dimas Martín, and the leader of the PIL in Yaiza, Gladys Acuña, are called to testify, along with four other people, this Tuesday, May 31, from 9:30 a.m., before the Court of First Instance number 2 of Arrecife within the case that investigates possible criminal offenses in the granting of urban licenses in Playa Blanca (Yaiza).

Their testimony is related to the Prosecutor's Office's request to incorporate the recorded conversations within the Unión case that refer to the hotels.
The statements were approved by the second judge who instructed the case, Leticia Mateo, but will be carried out by the current holder, Ana Manella González.
Marina Rubicón
During the month of June, a series of people related to the license granted to the Marina Rubicón marina are also summoned to testify. On June 14, the lawyer Alberto Florido Fabelo and the businessman Juan Padrón Marrero will testify as witnesses.
The three partners of the port, Francisco Armas, Juan Francisco Rosa and Rafael Lasso, will testify as defendants on June 17. On June 28, the technician of the Yaiza City Council, Alfredo Morales, the municipal secretary, Vicente Bartolomé Fuentes, and the former secretary of Arrecife and lawyer of the southern City Council, Felipe Fernández Camero, will also do so as defendants.
Both the businessmen and the technicians were already charged in this same procedure for other reasons. Finally, on July 1, the former mayor of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes, will testify again. The crimes of prevarication, bribery, embezzlement of public funds and influence peddling are being investigated.
