After the withdrawal of the controversial abortion law, the Nationalist Youth of the Canarian Coalition have made a "call for sanity" in the PP, asking them to also listen to the citizens of the archipelago. "It seems that common sense is being recovered in the Popular Party. That is why, once again, we emphasize that they reconsider, as they have done with the draft law on abortion, on a matter of such gravity as that of oil exploration in Canarian waters," they maintain.
In this regard, the Youth of CC affirm that "the current Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, is murdering the will of a people that has demonstrated, is demonstrating and will continue to demonstrate against oil exploration"
Therefore, "in the name of each and every one of the citizens", they ask that "oil exploration in Canarian waters be stopped and dismissed, as well as the resignation or dismissal of José Manuel Soria".
In this regard, they recall that a few hours after Mariano Rajoy publicly announced the withdrawal of the draft law that intended to reform the abortion law, the Minister of Justice, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, resigned.
