According to Coalición Canaria "with the incorporation of the new Government Group formed by the PIL and the PSOE the "ban" has been opened on the salaries of the governing bodies and advisors in the City Council, attending to personal and party conditions for the release of all the councilors of the Political Group".
The total of ten released councilors, plus two advisors, together with what the nationalists consider an allocation of "exorbitant salaries, not in accordance with the social reality of the municipality, nor with the unbalanced distribution of areas with councilors without specific areas who have the same allocation as others with excessive areas" are some of the points that will be discussed in the next plenary session. For the nationalists, "this is the only measure of "cohesion" of a pact, which is not based on a clear Government Program and which, according to the nationalists, "uses as an "argument" the delicate economic situation of the City Council to justify its inability to fulfill its obligations with the citizens and residents of the municipality".
On the other hand, CC will transfer to the plenary session of the Corporation the proposal to "cover the existing staff positions in the RPT to improve the organizational structure of the different Municipal Services, both from the administrative and technical point of view, achieving the improvement of attention and service to the citizen in their demands, without the need for so many councilors released full time".
The municipal swimming pool and sports activities
In relation to the construction works of the new municipal swimming pool, Coalición Canaria will transfer to the plenary session the debate and approval of the proposal to continue betting on promoting sports practice as a model of health and quality of life, for which it will propose "to maintain the construction of the municipal swimming pool and its adjoining facilities within the Investment Plan currently underway and to initiate the procedures between the Monitoring Commission of the Encomienda Agreement of said Plan with the Cabildo to proceed to the beginning of the tender and contracting procedure of the same", according to the technical project contracted by CC in the previous legislature.
