The Nationalist Group (CC-PNC) in the Cabildo of Lanzarote announces that it will ask the president, Mª Dolores Corujo, and the CEO of the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism, Benjamín Perdomo, for explanations about a possible food poisoning at the Farmer's Monument.
The events, according to what the nationalists have learned, took place on May 12, and could have affected several professionals belonging to the island's nursing collective who, precisely, were participating in a lunch to celebrate International Nursing Day.
Likewise, and always according to the sources consulted, CC-PNC points out that the corresponding complaint has already been filed with the General Directorate of Public Health.
“We are going to ask in the plenary session to clarify and specify what type of products are being used in the restaurants of the Tourist Centers, which, we must not forget, are our flagship and our greatest reference for tourism,” said the Nationalist Group.
Similarly, the nationalists will ask if any type of protocol has been activated both to detect the origin of this alleged poisoning and to prevent such events from happening again.
“It is the first time, at least that we are aware of, that something like this has happened in the history of the CACT. Until now we had received comments of great discontent from different clients who have been really disappointed with the value for money, but now we are talking about a health issue. Someone will have to give explanations,” they emphasize.
