Coalición Canaria in Yaiza has opened the deadline for submitting candidacies to elect the person who will head its list to the southern City Council. The result will be announced in early October, on a date that has not yet been specified.
This was approved last Monday, unanimously, by the Local Executive chaired by the local secretary Mateo Ramón, who stresses that his committee opens "with great enthusiasm, a transparent and participatory process with the aim of gaining the support of our municipality".
Once the candidacies have been submitted, it will be the Local Assembly that will have to vote and approve the proposal or choose with its votes in case there is more than one. Subsequently, the elected candidate will be submitted for approval to the Insular Political Council and, finally, it will be the National Political Council who ratifies it.
The party recalls that "any affiliated person or militant may submit their candidacy, as long as they comply with the statutory, affiliation and economic requirements."
