The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, received this Tuesday the Deputy of the Common of the Canary Islands, Rafael Yanes, in an institutional visit to the first island institution.

The Deputy of the Common has conveyed to the president several issues related to our island collected by his institution, with special emphasis on the situation in which the neighbors who had to be evicted from their homes in Valterra and Titerroy, in Arrecife, live, more than 9 years ago.

María Dolores Corujo has committed to Rafael Yanes to work together to achieve an agreement that allows the different administrations responsible for providing a solution to these neighbors to cooperate: Arrecife City Council, Cabildo, Government of the Canary Islands and Ministry of Development.

The president assured Yanes of the Cabildo's willingness to achieve this inter-administrative cooperation and provide solutions that have been long promised but have never quite arrived. For his part, the Deputy of the Common will designate a member of his institution to permanently monitor this matter.
