The Arrecife City Council already has a date for the next call for tests to obtain a taxi driver's license in the municipality of Arrecife, where 36 people have been admitted. The tests will be held on July 3 at 09:00 hours. The Examining Board is made up of municipal technicians and a representative of the taxi drivers' union in the city of Arrecife.

The notice board of the capital's electronic headquarters publishes the list of the Department of Transport and Mobility where the identities of the people admitted in this new call are noted, the fourth to be held during the current mandate led by Mayor Yonathan de León, and Mario González Altube as Councilor for the Area of Mobility and Transport. A total of thirty-six people have been admitted and six excluded, according to the decree published.

The mayor of the city, Yonathan de León, details that the taxi sector in Arrecife is generating many job opportunities for people who opt for a new job. Due to the number of current taxi licenses in Arrecife, this sector generates more than 400 direct jobs that can cover the three daily shifts throughout the year. The dynamization of Arrecife with the impulses of leisure, in addition to the singularity of being the administrative capital, and the great boom as a port of call in cruise tourism, "is promoting the taxi as an element of mobility on the island of volcanoes."

The Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Mario González Altube, has specified that this new call for aptitude tests aimed at obtaining the Municipal Taxi Driver Permit in the Municipality of Arrecife is integrated into the measures agreed with the taxi sector to cover the new needs of drivers after the update of taxi fares in Arrecife recently came into force, which until the entry into force of its update, was among the lowest in Spain.

The Municipal Government foresees that taxis can have a greater presence in the neighborhoods of Arrecife by covering the three daily shifts throughout the week, with more professionals who can cover the jobs generated by this transport service.
