The Arrecife City Council continues with improvements to the entire municipal network for public lighting in the capital of Lanzarote. The Department of Public Works has allocated an investment of more than "700,000 euros" for the renovation of public lighting in the Argana Alta neighborhood and in the La Concha area, bordering the municipality of San Bartolomé.

Within the modernization that is being developed in the Argana Alta neighborhood, the City Council will install a new public lighting network on Tenderete Street, a road that is undergoing a comprehensive transformation to give a major change to the urban image of this neighborhood, uniting the residential area with the emerging commercial and industrial area. The Public Sector Procurement Platform has had a record, since October 20, of the announcement of the tender for the "public lighting work for improvements on Tenderete Street", with a base allocation of "202,170.46 euros, plus taxes". According to the tender, interested companies have until November 13 to register their economic and technical proposals.

According to the technical project, new luminaires, columns, and conduits will be installed, so that all these new elements comply with current regulations. The lamps, with high energy efficiency, will be of LED technology.

Yonathan de León recalled that with the transformation work on Tenderete Street, all the planned conduits and connections have already been made underground. In parallel, the Arrecife City Council has also put out to tender the new lighting in the La Concha area, with an investment of close to "500,000 euros".

The Public Sector Procurement Platform has published the official announcement of the capital's City Council for the 'Supply and installation of lighting infrastructures in La Concha II' "with a base amount of "459,619.06 euros", plus IGIC. Interested companies have until November 20 to submit their offers and technical documentation. The successful company will have five months to execute the work.

These new tenders, with municipal funding, are integrated into the plans to modernize the neighborhoods of the Lanzarote capital where nighttime renovation is one of its axes. The City Council has out to tender the renovation of the electrical network of the Maneje neighborhood, and recently, the works of Las Salinas, and the surroundings of the Charco de San Ginés, have been completed, which have premiered a new lighting network with LED lamps, which provide greater energy efficiency in the city, and economic savings in the electricity bill.
