The Social Services area of the Arrecife City Council, led by María Jesús Tovar, has put out to tender the Senior Centers Dynamization Service. The initiative is aimed at active aging, emotional well-being, and stimulation of mental activity and memory. The period for submitting offers concludes on March 20 at 1:00 p.m.
"It is the first time it has been put out to tender and it has been done to give continuity to the activities focused on the elderly and thus get closer to the neighborhoods," said the Councilor for Social Services.
The duration of the contract is one year, with the possibility of being extended annually for a maximum period of two years. The estimated value of the contract amounts to 115,467.93 euros, of which 38,135.62 euros correspond to the first year and 77,332.31 euros to the extension of the following two years.
The objective of this service is to promote active aging, coexistence, and participation, to prevent isolation and loneliness of the elderly. All this through the implementation of actions of different kinds and so that the largest number of elderly people possible can benefit.
The activities to be carried out will take place in the different neighborhoods to offer greater proximity. They will consist of physical activities, cultural visits, painting workshop, crafts workshop, healthy walks, typical Canarian and ballroom dancing workshop, and emotional well-being workshops, stimulation of mental activity and memory.
