Resurfacing work around the IES Agustín Espinosa in Arrecife began on Monday night. This was reported by the City Council in a press release. This work is in addition to that already completed in several streets in the neighborhoods of La Destila, La Vega and Valterra.
The mayor of Arrecife, and director responsible for the Public Works Area, Yonathan de León, attended last night to supervise the resurfacing work around this institute, which is being carried out at night "to minimize inconvenience."
The work to renew the pavement is focusing on the section of Coronel Bens street, from its beginning on Rafael González avenue, to the corner with Canalejas street (an area also undergoing transformation works), and the strip of road on La Porra street, in the section next to the corner of Coronel Bens street. With the works in the surroundings of the IES Agustín Espinosa, the curbs are being removed in the section of the avenue at the corner of Coronel Bens, which had a sinking in its pavement.
The mayor recalled that other important works are currently underway in this entire area, such as the transformation of Canalejas street, from Coronel Bens to Avenida Mancomunidad, and La Porra street from Coronel Bens to the area adjacent to the El Almacén cultural center.
