The Lanzarote Consumers Association (Aculanza) has sent its letter to the Three Wise Men requesting that pending works in Lanzarote be initiated or completed, such as the bunker for radiotherapy treatment, as well as compliance with what was approved in the Cabildo regarding the annulment of the fuel tax increase. Likewise, the group asks Melchor, Baltasar and Gaspar to "use their powers" so that, after the 2019 elections, we have in the island's institutions people who are "prepared" and who "care with decency and conscience in the improvement of the public" and "not in personal or party interests".

"We have had a challenging year 2018, where our intention was and still is to behave as best as possible in the defense of our rights. Therefore, and although there is still much to do, we would like to count on your support through some gifts promoting the following where appropriate," begins the letter sent by Aculanza to the Three Wise Men, in which they first ask to "increase awareness to make responsible consumption, involved in not deteriorating our personal, family and social condition with compulsive and irresponsible purchases".

Likewise, Aculanza requests that "what was approved in the Cabildo of Lanzarote regarding the annulment of the fuel tax increase" be fulfilled, pointing out that "even if it is two cents per liter", the people of Lanzarote are paying "far above the rest of the islands".

Similarly, the association asks the Three Wise Men to "use their powers so that in this year 2019, from May onwards, we have the best and most prepared people in public positions, who care with decency and conscience in the improvement of the public for all, and not in personal or party interests, for a healthy coexistence".

Pending works and improvements in the public water service

Aculanza also requests "the capacity for pending works to be initiated or completed", pointing out, in addition to the bunker for radiotherapy treatment, others such as "the Argana health center, the repair of the Maneje reservoir, the paving of the road from Nazaret to the Complex, the lighting of many streets (illuminating the responsible parties in the process)" and "the adaptation of the sidewalks for the accessibility of every person and condition".

Given the situation of the public water distribution service, the Lanzarote Consumers Association asks for the reform of "the current regulations with the inclusion of some very improvable issues" such as the connection fee or after a service cut, "well above the average of the Canary Islands".

Aculanza also demands that the Three Wise Men "do not allow us to have inadequate protection services on coasts and beaches due to the lack of materials, personnel and sufficient information with warnings in several languages, so that lives are not lost in the sea that surrounds us, with special consideration to Famara Beach".

"Also in the actions on the road, with an increasingly complicated conciliation between motorists and cyclists", adds Aculanza, which also hopes that the "Special care area in the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, as it was valued in the participatory budget of the Health Service for 2018", will be "a reality in 2019 for pediatric patients and oncological families".
