By municipalities, and in the health area, it is worth mentioning the 3,343,000 euros that will be allocated in Tías for the health center and the expansion of the local office of Puerto del Carmen. The municipality of Arrecife obtains about 3 million euros for the renovation of the Santa Coloma health center and the center for Argana. Teguise also obtains a good part of the funds with just over 1 million euros due, mainly, to the construction of the Tahíche disability center that will be carried out by the Cabildo. It should also be noted that the La Graciosa office will have an item of 156,000 euros. Finally, in Tinajo, 180,000 euros have been established to build its local office.
In the area of education, the main investments are for Arrecife. The municipality obtains just over 300,000 euros for the new Argana Alta Infant and Primary school, the La Medular secondary school and the adaptation of the new educational regulations to the Santa María de Los Volcanes concerted center. Other municipalities that will receive investments are Haría with 200,000 euros for the Secondary school and a similar amount will be received by San Bartolomé for the Playa Honda school, the IES of Costa Teguise, the Infant and Primary school of Mácher-La Asomada (Tías) and the new Secondary school of Playa Blanca (Yaiza).
OTHER INVESTMENTS
The 87 million euros established by the Government of the Canary Islands cover a wide range. In this sense, it is worth mentioning the more than 11.5 million euros that will be allocated to the Arrecife-Tahíche road. Other notable investments are the 6 million euros for the municipal coordination and cooperation fund.
An important part of the budgets for Lanzarote are destined for various infrastructures such as the 3.5 million euros for the expansion of the Port of Órzola or the 2.9 million euros for conditioning and rehabilitation actions on the Island. Finally, a good part of the money will be dedicated to different sections related to tourism such as the Lanzarote Tourism Infrastructure and Quality Plan.
