Forty young artists, between 14 and 30 years old, are preparing "Teguise-The Musical". Directed by Rubén Azpiazu and "recruited" by the Youth Department of the Teguise City Council, the young people are tackling this original idea.
This musical story will revolve around the Teguise White Night, the highly successful and recently awarded Distinguished Tourism award, and will address heartbreak and the most burning social problems.
The young people, who signed up for the auditions a few weeks ago and will participate by contributing their voices, their rhythm and acting skills, have managed to surprise the organization "with their enormous artistic abilities." The organizers themselves say that they will address not only the problems and concerns of the participants, but also the illusions and goals of the young people. To do this, they will use a selection of the most recent and applauded musicals that contain original and adapted lyrics.
"This commitment by the City Council is expected to be one of the most attractive events of the year, whose performance will take place at the beginning of next year, integrated into the Christmas program, and which promises to cause a sensation among all audiences," according to the City Council.
According to Daniel Morales, among the objectives of this acting workshop is the "discovery of new promises with future projection and the consolidation of a future school of performing arts."
