The councilor of the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, Ángel Vázquez, has been “absolutely surprised” after the recent statements of the PSOE councilor in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Benjamín Perdomo, about the latest contracts made by the Entity: “they are shocking because they are made by someone who was in charge of the Tourist Centers for four years and knows, or should know, the professional profile and the way of working of this staff”, he explained.

Visibly upset, Vázquez has insisted that “it is surprising, almost grotesque, that he questions the good work and honorability of the staff who defended it so much during the four years he was part of it. I understand that the socialists are trying to make themselves noticed, even more so since last Saturday to please their leader, but Benjamín Perdomo cannot question the professionalism of the workers of the Tourist Centers for taking out a headline with which to attract attention. It is an insult to intelligence”.

“The ways of managing are different, but also the way in which the previous councilor did not and the current one does take advantage of the experience and knowledge of a qualified staff, whose opinions and performance do matter now, and a lot. Our management values the work and talent of an entire team while Benjamín only trusted himself”, he assessed.

In this line, Vázquez wants to remind the public that all the purchasing and contracting processes of the Tourist Centers, both of merchandise and personnel, “are carried out with the endorsement and advice of the responsible technicians of each department following the current legality and regulations and the needs of the Entity”.
