Warm tribute in Arrecife to the artist Mary Sánchez

Gran Canaria singer Mary Sánchez received a warm tribute last night in Arrecife in recognition of her extensive musical career. The tribute, organized by the Order of the Canarian Puppy in Lanzarote, is part of the calendar of activities of the Canary Islands Day and has the collaboration of the autonomous Government. The public filled the José Ramírez Cerdá Park in the capital of Lanzarote and was able to enjoy the songs of Mary Sánchez, accompanied by her group, Los Bandama, who were highly applauded during the evening. The artist received several gifts for her long career. At 78 years old, she has made history in Canarian music, not only from the perspective of folk and popular music, which is an important axis in her career, but also with other types of records such as rancheras, boleros, joropos, passages and other Latin American rhythms.
