The twelve candidates who aspire to become Miss Arrecife and Queen of the San Ginés Festivities this year have been presented this Tuesday with a parade in the Municipal Recova. In addition, the one who will be the new director of the gala, Orlando Callero de León, was also present at the event. "I am very excited, this challenge is very important to me and I appreciate the trust placed in me," said the young man.
The presenter and announcer Francisco José Navarro was the master of ceremonies of the event, where the girls paraded around those present in cocktail attire. The gala will take place this Saturday, August 12 at 9:00 p.m. in the Charco de San Ginés, with novelties such as the recovery of the parade in traditional Canarian costume. "Lanzarote is the only island of the eight in which the misses do not parade in such traditional clothing, I think it is important to recover it," Callero stressed. In addition, he will eliminate the swimsuit parade "because beauty is equally appreciated in cocktail attire or in the final parade, which will be in evening dress."
The presentation was attended by the mayor, Eva de Anta, and the Councilor for Festivities, David Duarte, who wished the young women good luck in the contest and thanked "Orlando's willingness and work to make some necessary changes in this type of galas."
In this edition, the candidates are Noelia Betancort Romero, María Tavío Arbelo, Carolina Hernández Corujo, Arima Díaz Segura, Noelia Morales Ruíz, Iara Arollo Machado, Thalía Toribio Arbelo, Evelín Silba Hernández, Adriana Hernández Arrocha, Isabel Vázquez Fernández, Yanira Cazorla Paulsburg and Sheila Alexandra Pastor Ferreira.
