The Traditional Music Encounter filled the San Ginés festivities with Canarian airs, on Thursday night. The stage chosen to celebrate this event was the Sociedad Democracia, where the public enjoyed a pleasant evening full of traditions.

The first musical notes came from the hand of a true master, Antonio Corujo, who, accompanied by his son Domingo on the guitar, and Gopar on the timple, made the audience vibrate, mixing recited poems with the most traditional song. His lyrics invited to take care of and maintain the Canarian cultural heritage.

Secondly, the members of the Charco de San Ginés cultural association took the stage, which, together with the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, collaborated in the development of this meeting. Charco de San Ginés offered a very varied and festive repertoire, reviewing the popular Canarian songbook.

The meeting culminated with the performance of the La Acequia folk group, which came from Santa Úrsula, in Tenerife. This is a mixed group with 22 members, directed by Bienvenido Sosa with very good voices. Thus, they made a musical journey through each island of the Canary Archipelago.

The evening was very lively due to the quality and variety of the participants. The public did not stop applauding at all times. Among those attending the event was the first deputy mayor of the Arrecife City Council, José Montelongo.
