The city of Arrecife has witnessed the arrival of their majesties the Kings of the East. The traditional parade, in which camels and Christmas fantasy floats were not lacking, departed from the vicinity of the City Hall at half past six in the afternoon, until reaching El Reducto beach.
During the tour, the monarchs and royal pages have thrown three tons of candies as they passed through the maritime avenue. The entourage has been made up of about 250 extras. 15 dromedaries, the Rancho de Pascua de Tinajo, a brass band and the stilt walkers and jugglers from the Lanzarote Circus School have accompanied the Three Wise Men.
In addition, on this occasion, the postmen and postwomen of Correos have joined the procession in their best clothes to collect the letters from the stragglers and forgetful.
After the parade, the music of Raíces has put the finishing touch to the Christmas and Kings 2013-14 party program in Arrecife.
