The airline Binter will connect Lanzarote with Santander from late March to late October 2026.
This was announced this Thursday at a press conference by several councilors of the Government of Cantabria, who confirmed, in addition to Lanzarote, the destinations of Almería, Jerez, Vigo, and several international destinations from the Severiano Ballesteros Airport.
The route between Lanzarote and Santander, which had not operated since 2018, has been recovered through a tender by the Cantabrian government, won by the airline Binter.
The direct flight to Lanzarote is added to the six weekly flights that Binter currently offers from Santander to Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
In the last five years, the Canary Islands airline has transported almost 168,000 passengers on its routes to Cantabria, with an increasing seat offering that in 2025 will exceed 232 flights, surpassing the previous year's operations by 12%.
