The radiotherapy bunker works are in the final phase, and the new Molina Orosa facility should be operational “in the first quarter of 2022”, as stated by the manager of the Health Services in Lanzarote, José Luis Aparicio, on Buenos Días Lanzarote on Radio Lanzarote – Onda Cero.

In addition, two more works are currently being carried out and a third is about to begin. One of them is in the hospital pharmacy area, with the installation of a new extractor hood to facilitate work in the hospital center

On the other hand, modules are being placed in the area near the cafeteria, which has led to the disabling of the parking lot in that place. However, Aparicio assures that an agreement has been reached with the company “to work twelve hours a day, seven days a week”, thus shortening the deadlines, to minimize the lack of parking in the area. In that place, according to Aparicio, the Home Hospitalization and Palliative Care area will be located.

Finally, although he acknowledges that the works have not yet started, the start of the works on the Emerging Diseases Building is planned, located in the old emergency parking lot. Aparicio assures that the foundations will begin to be laid “this week.”
