The Santo Domingo Convent in Teguise hosted last Friday the inauguration ceremony of the new Governing Board of the Lanzarote Bar Association, which was elected last November and in which the lawyer Carlos Viñas repeats as dean.
Carlos Viñas's candidacy was the only one submitted for the elections, just as a single candidacy was submitted for each vacant position. Thus, Ignacio Herrero Ortiz was elected as vice-dean or first deputy, Rosa Mary Callero Cañada as second deputy, Paola María Matassa as third deputy, Silvia María Lasso Tabares as fourth deputy, Alejandro J. Díaz as fifth deputy and Miguel Barreto Acosta as sixth deputy.
Rosa María García Hernández has been elected as secretary of the Lanzarote Bar Association, while Francisco González Cordón will be the treasurer and David Monte López the librarian-accountant.
The event held at the Santo Domingo Convent in Teguise was attended by the president of the Canary Islands Council of Bar Associations, José Manuel Niederleytner García-Lliberos, dean of Tenerife.
