The Lanzarote Association for Assistance in Multiple Sclerosis (AlanEM), is seeking funding to expand its facilities and create a new rehabilitation center.

This was announced in a statement by this group, which currently provides socio-health care to 49 people with Multiple Sclerosis and other types of neurodegenerative diseases.

The entity seeks in this 2021, to improve its facilities and services through a structural expansion, with the aim of creating a new rehabilitation center, which serves to meet the different needs of patients who, day after day, are cared for by its Physiotherapy, Psychology and Social Work services.

“Despite the arrival of Covid-19, the association has not stopped working to ensure that our members are as covered as possible and as a result of this work we see the need to create a new therapeutic space where we can offer and improve our care services,” says Monique Meine, president of AlanEM since 2015.

Similarly, Meine makes a call for solidarity so that public and private entities collaborate with AlanEM and "be able to give shape to this new and promising center."
