The town of Caleta de Caballo said goodbye this Sunday to its traditional La Lapa festivities. It did so, on this last day of festivities, with the traditional procession, in which about twenty boats participated. The festive day concluded with a water festival and a zumba exhibition.
During the week of festivities, which began last Monday, August 31, the neighbors have been able to enjoy multiple activities. Thus, in Caleta Caballo, in addition to the traditional maritime procession and later by land, recreational and sports activities have been held, such as the Envite and Ronda tournaments, lottery, 3x3 soccer, women's ball or the children's party with games and workshops.
Also not missing in these parties were the summer cinema, a gymkhana, the Wig Race, with its delivery of Lapas medals and the batucada that announces that La Lapa goes out to the street and walks through the sands of the cove. In addition, a popular festival was held offered by the Nueva Stella orchestra, a children's play back with a popular barbecue and the Bourbon concert, which was courtesy of the contributions of the neighbors of Caleta de Caballo.
