The Lanzarote native Gabriel Navarro wins the '14th High Cuisine Promises Award'

His dish was selected by the professional jury, which in this edition was chaired by Paco Roncero, Madrid chef with 2 Michelin stars and 3 Repsol Suns.

The young Gabriel Navarro Oliveros, a student of the Intermediate Degree in Cooking at Zonzamas of CIFP Zonzamas, has won this Tuesday the national award ‘Promises of haute cuisine’ from Le Cordon Bleu.

Navarro will receive a scholarship valued at 24,000 euros to study one of the programs offered by the prestigious culinary school. For its part, his center, CIFP Zonzamas (Lanzarote), will enjoy a prize of 1,500 euros for its support and dedication to the student's participation.

His dish was selected by the professional jury, which in this edition was chaired by Paco Roncero, Madrid chef with 2 Michelin stars and 3 Repsol Suns.

On the other hand, the second-place finisher, Andreu Berenguer from CIP FP Batoi of Alicante, will obtain a scholarship to study a diploma valued at 9,000 euros to choose from among the specialties offered at the school.

The Promises of Haute Cuisine Award is a national competition aimed at students under 25 years old who are currently studying their last year of culinary training in any center in the country and who stand out for their passion and their vision of cuisine. The competition offers the opportunity to continue training at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, through two scholarships awarded to the top two classified.
