Music, tapas, parades, play library, a wide variety of offers in shops and establishments and raffles of many gifts were the main attractions of the IX San Bartolomé Shopping.

The ninth edition of San Bartolomé Shopping 2019 arrived in these days that begin the Christmas shopping, to offer greater visibility to shops and establishments with a great day in which neighborhood and visitors could make purchases, while having a varied program of children's activities, shows for all audiences, concerts, tapas at popular prices and great discount offers in all participating shops and establishments in San Bartolomé and Playa Honda.

The mayor, Alexis Tejera, has highlighted the importance of highlighting local commerce, "in which the proximity and cordial treatment are a great addition, together with the great offer of products offered by our companies".

"We have leading companies in our municipality, and currently we do not need to leave San Bartolomé or Playa Honda, because we have a wide variety of establishments in all branches," said Tejera, who has expressed his gratitude "to the Cabildo for its collaboration in this event, to the companies for their great involvement, to the ACEA business association, to the commerce area, to Orlando Callero and to all the people who have worked hard to make this island event with commerce possible" 

 

Participation of 52 businesses


A total of 52 local businesses offered their best offers, from textiles, decoration, footwear, restaurants, communion, party, boyfriends, girlfriends, furniture, sports and much more in this ninth edition of San Bartolomé Shopping.

For every 10 euros spent, the customer had the opportunity to exchange it for a scratch card with a direct prize. Thus, more than 1,000 prizes were distributed throughout the day. In addition, purchases were rewarded and could participate in the draw for a great surprise trip, and other gifts.

The IX San Bartolomé Shopping also had nine artisans, who offered accessories, crafts made with traditional techniques and current use, ceramics, pastries and local products to taste.

In addition, the children's dynamization was constant with a play library, inflatables, a Christmas card creation workshop in Fisiosan and a Disney show in the morning. A parade with La Charanga Los Gruñones, together with the participation of the Motorcyclists Association and the presence of Disney characters toured the main streets of the town of San Bartolomé and attended to the children.

 

Performances 


Activities for all audiences and two stages hosted a large part of the performances and planned programming. From 2:00 p.m., the musical groups Graduado Escolar Inerxia performed, as well as DJ Ángel Pérez, who entertained on the main stage until 5:00 p.m., while people tasted a wide variety of tapas and drinks at popular prices.

The afternoon continued with children's activities, magic, live painting exhibition by Julieta XLF, a Spanish urban artist specializing in graffiti, master class with monitors from MT Dance dance schools, Lanzarote Baila, dance with Tania Marcer and Studio de Danza Emocional Celia Medina, performing a great flashmob around the Tonelero roundabout.

 

Christmas Window Display Contest and raffles of trips and stays


Plaza León y Castillo hosted the live concert of Atlantic Jazz Ensemble, who came from Tenerife. At the end, the parade began, which concluded on the avenue, where the names of the winners of the Christmas Window Display Contest were announced. The group Sentimiento con Arte was in charge of giving the festive touch to the night and during the performance the draw was held. 

The first prize of the window dressing contest was won by Oswaldo Machín. the second prize Pablo Ramos Baldi and the third prize Calzados Caché. Among the prizes awarded, which were many throughout the day, two trips were raffled, one to the Caribbean that was taken by Leticia Torres Rodríguez and another to the island of La Gomera that was won by Fiamma Jiménez Rodríguez. Stays were also raffled at Bluesea Hotels & Resorts and Apartamentos Siroco, among many other prizes.
