The traditional firework display brought the Órzola festivities to an end. The fishing village has honored its patron saint, Santa Rosa de Lima, for eleven days. The celebrations began on August 24th with the typical parade of Giants and Big-Heads that toured the streets of the town. Although the act that really started the festivities consisted of a toast that was held that same day at sunset.

The fishing village designed a complete program of festivities where sports competitions, festivals and traditional aspects were combined with events organized for the little ones.

The float party dedicated exclusively to all adult residents was held on August 25. This holiday, where each participant had to bring a float, was held on the well-known Caletón Blanco beach.

On Saturday, August 26, the VIII Folklore Encounter "Memorial Celestino Arráez" took place. In this edition, "El Pavón", "Guagime" and "Parranda M. de Órzola" joined the poets José D. de León, his grandson Tinguaro and Marisol Viñoly. The knowledge of the past and the traditional aspects of our island met at this folklore meeting.

After six in the afternoon on Sunday, August 27, the religious service was held in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima. The Eucharist was attended by the Alborada Group, who enlivened the liturgy with their musical expertise. Next, the traditional procession that toured all the streets of the seaside town was held. The election gala Miss and Mister Órzola also took place that Saturday, with performances by "Luis Perdomo" and "Sara".

Monday, for its part, was dedicated to the smallest of the town, since a mattress regatta was held on the pier in the morning. In the afternoon, however, the children were able to demonstrate their musical talent in the playback that the town organized. In this way, the children of the seaside town danced and sang to the rhythm of the songs of fashion.

The afternoon of Thursday, August 31, brought together all the residents at the traditional Popular Barbecue of "Queveo". A few hours later, the Lanzarote rock melodies rose in Órzola at the hands of the conejero groups of "Los Ños", "Alianza", "Óscar Tiene Alas" and "Cumbia Ebria".

The traditional festivals also met in the northern town, since the well-known "Suso y Familia" and the group "Los Conejeros" enlivened the night of Friday, reciting more traditional and popular songs. As the afternoon fell on Saturday, these groups also returned to offer their good work, through the melodies best known by all the residents of the town.

Although the fun has not only focused on the elderly, but that same afternoon the smallest residents were able to "move the skeleton" with modern rhythms thanks to the children's disco that was organized and the traditional juggling that delighted the children of Órzola.

On Sunday, however, the northern town was tinged with sadness because it was the last day of the holidays. Although not for that reason it was not enjoyed in the same way. An original and fun aquatic festival was organized on the town's pier, accompanied by aquatic inflatables. After that act culminated, the End of Festivities Gala was held where all the trophies were distributed from the different competitions that took place during the festivities. The lights of the burning of the fireworks that were carried out at the end of the Gala tinged the sky of Órzola with various colors, although they also meant the end of the festivities in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima.
