The Cabildo of Lanzarote held last Tuesday a tribute in honor of the firefighter Luis Álvarez de León, after 31 years of service in the Security and Emergency Consortium.
María Dolores Corujo, president of the Cabildo, highlighted Luis Álvarez as a "great colleague and someone who always put the best of himself so that the Fire Department was a great family."
Marcos Bergaz, manager of the Consortium, stressed respect for the career of Luis Álvarez, who has faced his years of service with "dedication, commitment and tenacity," recognizing that he "deserves recognition like this."
Finally, Luis Álvarez himself wanted to thank those present for the expressions of affection received. And also, he was proud to "belong to the firefighters of Lanzarote."
