Activities in Arrecife for Mother's Day

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Crafts and Commerce, together with Felapyme and with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, celebrated Mother's Day with the organization of different activities in the Open Commercial Area of Arrecife.

The island councilor of Commerce, María del Carmen Guadalupe, explains that these workshops fulfilled the objective of "promoting local commerce, encouraging and incentivizing sales in Arrecife and revitalizing the center on such a special date."

The event, aimed at all families, took place in the commercial area of the center of Arrecife. From 11:00 a.m., in La Plazuela, the little ones were able to participate in children's workshops, where they created a wooden box and a photo frame as a gift for mothers. Likewise, different children's characters toured the streets of Arrecife center and visited the shops of the capital to surprise children and adults, encouraging and enlivening the area.

The Mother's Day campaign concluded with a raffle among women who made a purchase of more than 10 euros in the participating stores. The name of the winner has been published on the official Facebook of the Open Commercial Area of Arrecife.
