The Board of Directors of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) has approved the new collective agreement of the entity with the abstention of the Canarian Coalition. It must now be ratified by the plenary session of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
Endorsed by the mandatory reports carried out by lawyers specialized in labor matters, the document establishes the framework for relations between the management and the workers of the Tourist Centers until 2028.
“It is a text that strengthens the fundamental rights of the staff, maintains the bases of social peace achieved during this legislature and guarantees the public management model for the future”, said the CEO of the entity, Benjamín Perdomo.
The new collective agreement of the Tourist Centers "is the result of more than a year and a half of meetings marked by fluid dialogue, listening, and the will to reach the best agreement for the Entity."
The salary supplement
The document clarifies the articles, introduces improvements in school aid and increases the supervisory role of workers through a variable, non-consolidable supplement linked to productivity, which will be effective only if the entity reaches a profit of 1.5 million euros in a year and the personnel expenses do not exceed 55% during that year.
“This productivity supplement makes us co-responsible for the management of each euro of income and expense” said, for his part, the president of the Works Council, Antonio Bonilla, who recalls that “there will be no room for that supplement if workers and management do not reach the proposed objectives.”
After its approval by the Plenary of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Collective Agreement of the Tourist Centers will be valid until December 31, 2028.
