The Villa festivities are still going strong. Sunday was the night for the little ones, but especially for the little girls. Eight girls felt like stars of Operación Triunfo in the magical gala to elect the Princess of Teguise Infantil. The lucky one of the night was Tamara Cabrera Hernández, who dazzled the audience and jury with her charm and naturalness, but also the other participants, Patricia, Graciela, Guayarmina, Agerine, Yanira and Paula, captivated the audience with their amazing performance and poise on the stage of the tent.

The election took place in the municipal tent of La Villa, specially equipped for the festivities. Many locals did not hesitate to come to the gala to see the chinijas enjoy themselves.

Although the prize went to the little Teresa, all the girls who participated in the contest took home a small detail to always remember this special day in their short lives.

The prizes, both to the winner and to the others, were presented by the accidental mayor of the municipality, Domingo Cejas. The mayor of Teguise, Juan Pedro Hernández, could not attend the Gala because he is currently traveling in Prague with five other councilors of the City Council.

After the end of the Gala itself, the children and their parents enjoyed the performance of Maresía Shiva, which included clowns and jugglers.

Storytelling

On the other hand, on Wednesday night the traditional ceremony of "Tales in the night of the Villa" took place through the streets of the town.About 50 people came to the walk in the light of the stars and the four actresses did a good job to convey to the public the sensations and the emotion of their horror stories in the light of candles and torches.

The walk through the stories of ghosts and terror in the most mysterious town of the Island and probably of the Canary Islands began at about half past nine at night in the Spinola Palace, from where the lovers of horror stories left accompanied by four actresses in charge of directing the adventure.

Horror stories are part of the culture and imagery of the people of La Villa. It is well known that at night, the streets of this historic conejero town are quite distressing. The urban legends of La Villa are also famous.

Stories of decapitated dogs, people buried alive and ghostly animals are already part of the history of the population.

The participants took a tour through the darkest and most mysterious corners of La Villa, and in each of these places, the storytellers told a story full of terror.

Thus, next to the Plaza de la Veracruz, they told the story of a man who was buried alive and the hardships he had to go through to get out of the coffin in extremis, a story that shocked more than one.

They also visited the most ghostly streets of La Villa, such as Calle del Miedo and Callejón de la Sangre, where the stories that were told frightened one more than the other, although the participants stoically endured the pull.

Above all, the young people went on the adventure, although some adults also dropped by. The screams and lugubrious sounds were the dominant note throughout the entire journey.

On the other hand, yesterday a dessert contest was organized within the framework of the municipal festivities, something that is already common in the celebrations of the conejeros towns. The setting for the same was the socio-cultural center of Teguise.

The organizers of the Fiestas del Carmen in the Villa de Teguise have decided this year to bet on gofio as the main ingredient in the preparation of the desserts that participate in the contest that from 20:30 hours took place in the socio-cultural center of the town.

Local amateur pastry chefs participated in the event, and the jury was formed with the participation of teachers from the Board of Trustees of the Lanzarote School of Hospitality.

For today there is a day dedicated exclusively to sports, with the permission of a radio workshop that is organized in the municipal radio station. The El Hoyo sports court will be the stage where the Handball and Futsal Promotion Day will take place from 5:30 p.m. At 8:00 p.m. a women's soccer match will be played at the Los Molinos field. Finally, the highlight of the night will be a soccer tournament that will also be held in Los Molinos from nine o'clock at night. CD Tamper Teguise and ADC Teguise will be the teams that will face each other to take the trophy to the showcases of their club.
