The Teguise City Council has launched a youth night transport campaign during the summer. The Department of Youth, led by Daniel Morales, has reported that there will be buses that will travel through the towns of Teguise during the peak days of the island's festivities. The campaign's slogan is "Your safety is in your hands."
For the service to make sense, and for the transport not to be empty, young people have to buy their ticket in advance. They can do so both at the Youth Department of the Teguise City Council, and on the days when the active summer campaign workshops are held in each location. Thus, depending on whether there are requests, transport will be contracted.
With a minimum of registered participants, the bus will be guaranteed for a round trip cost of 3.5 euros. Departures can be from Las Caletas; Los Ancones; La Caleta de Famara; Caleta de Caballo; Los Cocoteros and Costa Teguise (maritime village).
"The first bus that was launched was to the La Vegueta festival on July 7. The demand came from Caleta de Famara and precisely from this location transport is guaranteed again to go to La Santa this Saturday, July 21", Daniel Morales pointed out.
In addition, from La Santa, if young people are encouraged, they can have this service on July 28, to go to the Arrieta festival; on August 4 and 11, which are the peak days in the Puerto del Carmen festivities; and on August 14, to enjoy the Tinajo verbena. "The main objective is that young people can enjoy the night celebrations without regretting incidents", Morales indicated.
