The Youth Department of the Teguise City Council, coordinated by Daniel Morales, has encouraged all young people to participate in the third edition of the "Young Creators" contest. The objective is to promote creativity and the promotion of the artistic qualities of young people in the modalities of painting, photography, graphic design, poetry and music.

"This initiative arises from the need of our young people to express themselves artistically, something that the department is aware of and therefore these types of activities are promoted," Morales said in a statement. All young people born or residing in Lanzarote, aged between 14 and 30 years old, as established by the Canary Islands Youth Law, may submit to this contest.

The first and second prizes consist of 300 and 200 euros, respectively. In addition, there will be another unique prize as a novelty in this edition "Young Person from Teguise", valued at 300 euros.

The deadline for receiving works began on March 11 and will continue until 2:00 p.m. on May 9, in the Youth Department of the Teguise City Council, located at Calle Gran Canaria number 1 in La Villa de Teguise.

In the past edition, the first prize went to Pablo Silva Jiménez in the narrative category, while Elena Martín took it in graphic design. As for the categories of
