The Los Dolores festivities will also have a special bus service for four days, coinciding with the most important days. The service will start this Friday the 9th, once the verbena enlivened by Los Conejeros ends, from 2 in the morning; and will continue on Saturday, when the pilgrimage is celebrated. On that day, it will operate in both directions every half hour.
On Wednesday the 14th of September, this reinforcement will be enabled again, coinciding with the musical performances and the verbena. Once they finish, public transport will be enabled at 3.30. Finally, on Thursday the 15th, when the events will conclude with the Eucharist, the concert and the fireworks, there will be a special bus service at 9:00 p.m., and the last service will be at 11:30 p.m.
“I want to express my gratitude to the Cabildo de Lanzarote and its president for collaborating with this institution, in this case facilitating the movement of people during the Los Dolores festivities. It is our responsibility to facilitate the journey of the attendees in these special circumstances, since we are aware of the large influx of people who come to ask the patron saint for their best wishes. The collaboration between institutions allows us to provide an efficient and higher quality service to the citizens”, said the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín.
“We all really want to celebrate these parties as they deserve, but we must also prioritize the responsibility and safety of everyone. For this reason, on the days with the highest influx of people, the City Council makes the bus available to people, which not only allows us to facilitate travel, but also to enjoy safer parties”, highlighted the Councilor for Security and Emergencies.
