Salvamar has rescued a third boat this Wednesday near Lanzarote, according to the Emergency Consortium.
There were 31 people on board, of Maghreb origin. They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been assisted by the Red Cross.
In total, more than a hundred people have been rescued this Wednesday. The first of them was intercepted first thing in the morning with 35 people. According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center, there were 33 men and 3 women on board, all of Maghreb origin. In addition, one of the occupants has been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital. A few minutes later they rescued a second boat in which a total of 39 people were traveling.
