Maritime Rescue intercepted a dinghy with 74 people on board at approximately 7:45 p.m. this Saturday, 16 miles southeast of the island of Lanzarote, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Among the occupants of the boat were 58 men, 12 women and four minors, all of sub-Saharan origin and in apparent good health.
After rescuing them, they were transferred to the Commercial dock of Arrecife where they were attended by the Red Cross. Three of the people attended were evacuated to the José Molina Orosa hospital for different pathologies.
