Puerto del Carmen said goodbye to its patron saint festivities

A mass sung by the Coral Marina and a procession, accompanied by the Tías Municipal Band, was one of the events that closed the festivities in honor of its patron saint. The coastal town has enjoyed more than ten festive days, where dance, music, fun and sports have been the protagonists of the days.

The Nostalgia orchestra and a string of fireworks were the last events that Puerto del Carmen has celebrated at its festivals. The pyrotechnic lights reminded all the residents, last Sunday, August 13, that they will have to wait another year to enjoy the festive days again, in honor of their patron saint.

Mayor's gratitude

The mayor of the coastal town has expressed his satisfaction for the excellent contribution of the residents to the Festival Commission, which has resulted in the improvement of the program of events and their coordination, while facilitating and enriching the work of the Festival Department of the Tías City Council.

In this same sense, José Juan Cruz Saavedra extends his gratitude to the Local Police, Civil Protection, Red Cross, EMERLAN and Civil Guard for their contribution to the security of the same, as well as to all the media for the extensive informative coverage they have given to these festivals of Puerto del Carmen. He also highlights the good functioning of the special bus services that allowed the displacement of hundreds of people in the early hours of the morning of the two weekends.

On the other hand, the mayor apologizes and asks for understanding for those residents and businessmen who, due to the crowds typical of this type of celebrations, have felt harmed by the inconveniences that may be caused by the intense traffic and other noises typical of the celebration.
