The Valterra Murgas Meeting brought together more than a thousand people this weekend, who enjoyed the performances of murgas from various parts of the Canary Islands. The event was held in Valterra Park and organized by the Murga Los Desahuciados with the collaboration of the Department of Festivities, whose head is the mayor of the city, Eva de Anta.
De Anta was present at the event and expressed her admiration for "an audience dedicated and very faithful to the Carnival groups".
Last Friday, Titiroys, Inadaptadas, Pijoletas, Tabletúos, Enraladas, Simplones, Vacilonas and the special performance of the chiribita "Las Alcalinas" performed. Yesterday Saturday afternoon, it was the turn of the little ones with Retoñitos, Noveleros, Intixicaditos, Gorfinijos and Chau-Chau. Later in the evening, Melindrosos, Apresuradas, Traviesas, Tiralenguas, Desahuciados, Extra-ordinarias, Trapasones, Traviata and the batucada Attenya performed.
