Pre-alert declared for wind and haze on Monday in Lanzarote

The presence of suspended dust is expected to reduce visibility to less than 3,000 meters and occasionally to less than 2,000 meters

 The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert situation for haze and wind in Lanzarote starting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26.

According to the State Meteorological Agency, there will be southeast wind and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour may be recorded.

It is expected that the presence of suspended dust will reduce visibility to less than 3,000 meters and occasionally to less than 2,000 meters, especially in the last hours of the day.

The skies will be partly cloudy or clear, with intervals of high clouds. As for temperatures, there will be no changes and they will be between 13 degrees minimum and 24 maximum.
